US President Donald Trump announced a reduction in tariffs on Indian goods from 25% to 18% after discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This move includes India's commitment to purchasing more American goods and potentially reducing Russian oil imports.

Trump said that India has agreed to stop buying Russian oil and buy much more from the US and potentially Venezuela, and has agreed to purchase $500 billion worth of US energy, agriculture, coal and other products under the trade deal.
